These limited edition Alpaca and Wool traditional twill windowpane check blankets with historic blanket stripes in natural oatmeal and brown are so soft.

Natural colored alpaca mixed with a soft wool makes these heirloom bed blankets absolutely luxurious.

The pattern is a traditional blanket pattern but the twill changes direction in each block giving the appearance that the brown stripes are weaving in and out of the oatmeal checks.

This style was popular for bed blankets throughout the 18th and 19th centuries.

These blankets are machine washable on delicate setting cool and tumble dry

We are weaving this limited run of blankets to honor Kate Smith and Norman Kennedy for their dedication to teaching traditional textile production on traditional textile tools.

A portion of each sale goes to the Weavers’ Croft Scholarship fund for a student to study with Kate Smith in Marshfield VT.

The Double/queen blanket measures 100 inches wide by 90 inches long.
