Arts and Crafts Style Placemats
Arts and Crafts Placemats copied from an English pattern circa 1885. Reversible design. We sell these as a single but they look great as a sett.
Designs from the Arts and Crafts movement are distinct and beautiful. These placemats are woven using an English pattern circa 1885. The fabric was used for curtains at Hill House, St. Paul Minnesota. We have taken the fabric and made placemats to dress up any table. They are completely reversible with blue and green on one side and yellow and blue on the reverse. They are historic and yet modern, expressing a wonderful aesthetic. The worsted wool was custom spun at Jagger Brothers in Maine and then dyed for us by Caledonian Dye Works in Philadelphia.
We have sets of 4 or 6 or 8 mats and we can make custom runners as well. We probably will not repeat this fabric but we do have enough in stock for drapery as well.
